The story of the GUESS USA subdivision is the ever-evolving story of the American aesthetic. Under the creative direction of Nicolai Marciano, and photography by Eli Russel Linnetz, the brand’s new season continues to elevate the archetypes of Western America known worldwide.
Based on experimentation with fabrics and silhouettes, denim and cracked leather become the mainstays of this Fall-Winter 2024. From trucker jackets to denim shorts, garments are designed with heavy, distressed hems for a modern grunge style.
Standout pieces include a shredded mini dress and jeans with a dramatic reinterpretation of the American flag. In addition, waxed denim is introduced for a soft finish on rustic-looking garments. Cracked leather is incorporated into moto jackets, cargo pants and sleeveless jackets, with colors such as emerald green and burgundy making their debut. The coat collection features vintage pieces such as a white biker jacket with postcard graphics and a patchwork aged sheepskin jacket.
Knits include ribbed sweaters and washed cable knits, while high-quality faux fur is showcased in furry vests and cropped jackets.
Accessories include a variety of bags in cracked leather and faded denim, as well as footwear inspired by vintage aesthetics.
All in all, a new GUESS USA collection that, building on the experimental design techniques, fabric treatments and edgy silhouettes that have been the brand’s core values since its inception, makes us fall in love with American clichés all over again.
