Bad Bunny is the most listened to Latin artist of all time on Spotify, ahead of big names in the genre such as Shakira and Daddy Yankee, according to a survey conducted by Odds Scanner based on data from the streaming service itself and from Kworb and ChartMasters (websites specialising in compiling music data). What’s more, the Puerto Rican rapper is among the top three most listened to artists of all time on the platform. In terms of monthly listeners, Bad Bunny also tops the Latin list, with more than 69 million plays to date. In second place is Shakira, with more than 60 million monthly listeners, and in third place is Peso Pluma, with another 56 million.

Spotify’s most played artists of all time

Unsurprisingly, the top five most listened to artists of all time is dominated by US artists. However, artist Bad Bunny, who recently turned 30, is among the top three most listened to artists on the platform, alongside Drake and Taylor Swift, according to Odds Scanner’s analysis, despite the differences in their position.

On Kworb, the artist ranks second, behind Drake and ahead of Taylor Swift, The Weeknd and Justin Bieber (on the platform, the Canadian ranked fifth, ahead of Ed Sheeran). On ChartMasters, Bad Bunny is in third place, behind Taylor Swift and Drake, who are in 1st and 2nd place respectively, and ahead of The Weeknd and Ed Sheeran (here, Justin Bieber dropped to 6th place).

Most played Latin artists in March

In addition to being the most listened to artist of all time, Bad Bunny is also the most listened to Latin artist in March, ahead of Shakira, Peso Pluma, Karol G and many others. Globally, he is the 16th most listened to artist of the month.
