Champion x Rick Owens: Fusing sportswear and utilitarian style once again

One of the industry’s strongest partnerships returns this season with new unisex silhouettes.

Having last met in March 2021, Rick Owens and Champion continue to fuse sporty silhouettes with grunge spirit to offer a limited-edition capsule collection based on mesh and draped details. But the undisputed star of this launch is the Jumbo Windbreaker: a metallic silver mackintosh that can be styled in a variety of ways to suit individual tastes.

Other highlights include semi-transparent tank tops and dresses, oversized fit long and short-sleeved tops, tight-fitting mesh trousers and wide-leg metallic shorts. All are detailed with co-branded logos that signify the unique union.

“When I started my brand in the nineties, I drew my logo by hand as a cross between the Champion logo and a Jean Patou perfume brand…. They both had a similar vintage calligraphic style…. I wasn’t aware of it then, but now I see how that balance has defined my current aesthetic,” says Rick Owens himself in an Instagram post.
