Glamour and avant-garde merge in Concept Hotel Group‘s ninth venture, which opens its doors today in the bay of San José. Hotel Los Felices is the world’s first hotel dedicated exclusively to fashion and the group’s most special project to date. Its six villas and one hundred and seven rooms are entirely designed with a mid-century aesthetic and pay tribute to emerging and established national and international designers, giving each space a unique personality.
Palm Springs, located in the renowned Coachella Valley, serves as the backdrop for Los Felices. The iconic mid-century architecture and its legacy of Hollywood stars such as Frank Sinatra, Cher and Bob Hope, provides the perfect inspiration for this new project. In addition, the interior design, carried out by IlmioDesign studio, consolidates into a masterpiece that evokes the retro charm of the golden age of fashion, which has become the driving force behind the soul and spirit of Los Felices.
The focus on circularity and the recycling of materials is present in the philosophy of the vast majority of the artists and designers participating in this project. Among the designers, names such as the Spanish Alejandro Gómez Palomo, Pepa Salazar, Abraham Ortuño, the tandem behind the firm Egonlab: Florentin Glèmarec and Kevin Nonpeix, the French designer Jean Paul Gaultier or the Greek designer Dimitra Petsa, whose creations have conquered celebrities such as Gigi Hadid and Nicky Minaj.
Innovation and creativity are also part of the essence of Los Felices and this is reflected in the two groundbreaking elements of the hotel: The Pop-up Room, a multi-purpose room available for fashion brands, and the Futuro House Stage, the jewel in the crown in terms of architecture and design, inspired by the prefabricated fibreglass houses in the shape of a UFO, created in the 1970s.
Los Felices has spaces that take care of every detail, such as La Fashiontéque, a paradise for fashion lovers with a careful selection of magazines and specialised publications. The boutique inside the hotel, Les Fleurs, is run by fashion consultant María Bernad, who also works as a fashion consultant on the project. Les Fleurs will have a selection of vintage pieces chosen by Bernad, as well as upcycling brands from designers participating in the hotel and garments from her own label, also called Les Fleurs.
Music is one of the fundamental pillars in any Concept Hotel Group hotel, so on this occasion, they have counted on the it boy, musician and dj of Madrid’s fashionable events Álvaro Naive, to elaborate an eclectic playlist, with a lot of Groove, which sounds like eternal summer.
As for its gastronomic offer, the great scoop is the creation of a new restaurant brand: Bambola di Grosso Napoletano, an alliance between the pizza chain and Concept Hotel Group, which will be present in this new hotel in its gluten-free version and available for both guests and external diners, as well as having a delilvery service. A wonderful synergy that combines perfectly with the contemporary cocktail proposal, to accompany the best Neapolitan pizzas with drinks full of flavour.
