The platform will be rolling out BFFs on its live feeds globally, allowing you to host an Instagram Live or a live room to broadcast your thoughts, catch up, share memes, plan trips, do classwork together, or just hang out, just with your BFFs. Here are some ideas on how you can use this new feature:
Become a content creator (at least for your friends): share hauls from your shopping spree, your GRWM, new recipes you’re trying, your workout routine, or tell about your bad first date experience, without fear of others who might criticise you seeing it.
Live confidence session: Sometimes you need to vent to someone, now you can create a live session with your closest friends to listen in.
Create a book club: Talk about the best book to take on your next summer holiday or your theories and interpretations of the book you’ve read by your favourite author with your #bookstagram-obsessed friends.
“Wish you were here”: live-stream concerts or weddings where your friends would have liked to be but couldn’t, or show some moments from the picnic or party you’re at.
Discuss the game you just watched: gather fans of your favourite team to celebrate a victory, to do a post-match analysis, discuss your favourite plays and make a prediction for the next one.
“Motherfucker, what is that?”: no more embarrassing Instagram Direct that everyone can see (we’re talking to you, Cardi B); now it’s just for your BFFs.
