Ibiza inspires GIGI Studios’ latest ‘TINNIT’ collection

The new collection is a tribute to the emblematic island of Ibiza and its goddess Tanit, a different interpretation of the eyewear world.

Ibiza inspires GIGI Studios’ latest ‘TINNIT’ collection

Just like last year, this summer GIGI Studios returns to Ibiza, its most beloved island and the one that inspired its new capsule collection: TINNIT.

Tinnit is based on the pure nature of Ibiza and the goddess Tanit, who has historically been in charge of protecting the island. It is made up of three new sunglasses models, which have also been available in three acetate colours. Classic black and Havana are combined with new earthy tones, such as beige, sand or orange, which have been specially created by the GIGI Studios design team. The lenses of the glasses have also been tinted and contrast slightly with the frame, to achieve a varied but harmonious and highly coordinated colour palette.

The collection is characterised by smaller shapes: TANIT is a mask frame, NEIT is rectangular and BAAL is more oval, but all three have been designed with the aim of reducing their dimensions. In contrast, they stand out for their reliefs, such as the rugged coast of Ibiza. For the first time, the bevels have been turned outwards, creating a distinctive and unique volume effect. The temples have also been engraved with the Tinnit symbol, which has been created specifically for the occasion.

This new series combines cultural references, earthy colours and organic curves with an innovative technique. Its size contrasts with its defined volumes and its highly worked design. The result is contemporary glasses that emerge from the observation of nature in its purest state. Between dreamlike and brutalist.
