KALORAMA festival arrives in Madrid with a stellar line-up

The euphoric feeling of the summer will continue to vibrate from August 29 to 31 with KALORAMA. The festival will resonate in the capital from the IFEMA MADRID fairgrounds with its proposal in which different sound sensibilities will converge, ranging from pop to jazz or electronica. This will take place simultaneously and perfectly synchronized from Lisbon with a high-frequency line-up of 35 artists from the national and international scene.

This year, the event will be hosted by artists of great musical impact such as LCD Soundsystem, Olivia Dea, Nation of Language, The Kills, Overmono or The Prodigy. The iconic British group, as the new headliner, will perform all their hits and will impact the audience with their high voltage rave. The electronic duo formed by Liam Howlett and Maxim Reality, known for raising breakbeat-hardcore to the altars in the early 90s, will take us ‘OUT OF SPACE’ with their hits revered intergenerationally.

CLUBBING

The clubbing will also take attendees to a spiritual climax with artists curated by Madrid collectives such as Antidote Club, Carbs, Ego-Trip, Mareo, Zsongo Club and La Luz, who will make the entire festival community dance with their eclectic sets. Figures that will join the same constellation of musical stars formed by Sam Smith, Raye, The Smile or The Postal Service Death.

KALORAMA FOR DAYS

KALORAMA Madrid will also have a new stage. It will accommodate dance music with more concerns with proposals under the curatorship of national collectives and platforms. On Thursday 29th the beats emanating from this space will be provided by EGO-TRIP, with its members Lier, Texture and Yoryo offering house and techno mixes to the electronic purists; as well as ZSONGO CLUB with Chris Collins and Afri K who will fuse genres such as amapiano, afrobeat and afro-trap with the essence of the most current music from the black continent.

On the second day, the hits will be provided by RAYE, the great phenomenon of the British scene last year as the absolute queen of R&B and soul of the new millennium. The synth pop of Gossip captained by Beth Ditto promises a bacchanal of festive rhythms while the most deconstructed electronic and pop will arrive with cult proposals such as Fever Ray, from Overmono or the avant-garde exploration of Yves Tumor. Meanwhile, Yard Act will delight rock lovers, Colectivo Da Silva will delight tropical pop lovers, and TRISTÁN! will delight all those who connect with their vibe of sadness and melancholy.

On Saturday 30th CARBS will take the stage with its disco session, the most irresistible and hedonistic boogie and house by Polish Ketiov and Chilean Fernanda Arrau, hosted by Glenda Galore and her performers. On the other hand, the MAREO platform is highlighting the sound concerns of the new wave of Spanish artists and for the occasion will feature the experimentation of the Galician Akazie, the festive and surprising LaFrancessa from Barcelona and the irreverent breaks of 8kitoo from Granada. The iconic South Korean DJ Peggy Gou will close the night in style as one of the most representative figures of global clubbing that has transcended with tracks like ‘It Goes Live (Nanana)’.
