Pharrell Williams returns to pearls in ‘Tiffany Titan’

His second collection for the iconic jewellery house is based on this precious stone to which he has always been linked.

Pharrell Williams and Tiffany & Co. continue their special alliance through an exquisite proposal based on freshwater pearls. Under the title ‘Tiffany Titan’, they offer exclusive designs such as an 18-carat gold necklace covered in pearls and diamonds as well as bracelets, earrings and necklaces. All of them are inspired by the mythological figure of Poseidon and highlight the strong connection between the creative and the sea.

‘The inspiration for the collection comes from my affinity with water, and the name of the collection, ‘Titan’, is inspired by Poseidon, ruler of the sea, king of Atlantis. Atlantis’ is also the name of the community where I grew up in Virginia Beach. In Japan, it was believed that pearls were created from the tears of mythical water creatures, so I naturally gravitated towards pearls as a means of expressing this connection to water,’ Williams says.
