On 10, 11 and 12 October, the third edition of the Rocanrola Festival will take place, an event that will once again make history in our country with the most complete line-up of national rap, together with the ‘Living Park’ space that will pay tribute to hip hop culture and the parallel activities of Rocanrola City.
Over three days there will be concerts by artists such as Natos y Waor, SFDK, Fernandocosta, Mala Rodríguez, Kaze, Ayax, Prok, Delaossa, Toteking, Recycled J, Hoke, Juancho Marqués, Foyone, Hard GZ, Fyahbwoy, Rapsusklei, El Chojin, Lia Kali, Al Safir, Jarfaiter, Sho-Hai, Falsalarma, Sofía Gabanna or Ill Pekeño & Ergo Pro, among the more than fifty-five artists who will perform on the three stages.
The Rocanrola Festival will see some very special moments, such as the farewell to the music of SFDK, who will celebrate their 30th anniversary in Alicante, the definitive retirement of Toteking, but not before presenting their latest album ‘Luces Fuera’, or the more than foreseeable stop along the way by Natos y Waor.
Living Park
Once again, the festival will have a large space called Living Park, dedicated to exploring urban culture with a wide-ranging programme of activities that go beyond the music.
From urban sports, with exhibitions with the best athletes in their categories, to 3×3 basketball with pure street talent, dunkers and freestyle demonstrations, as well as a free throw contest, a skate and BMX track over 30 metres long, with exhibitions and monitors, urban dance by the team of teachers from the Funkadelik school in Alicante, a battle of freestyle promises with 32 participants, graffiti with the Barcelona artist Inocuo who will perform a 30-metre work and much more.
For the comfort of the attendees, the festival will have a camping and glamping area, as well as a restaurant area and other complementary services, to promote an immersive experience and encourage coexistence among all attendees.
Rocanrola City
On Saturday 5 October from 10am to 8pm the Espacio Seneca in Alicante will offer an open day in advance of the Rocanrola Festival.
The programme, throughout the day, includes: graffiti exhibition by Barbiturikills, poetry recital and poetry book presentation by Charly EFE, talk with Dani Sainz from Sacramento Studios, round tables with Luisaker and with Santa Salut and K1za, urban dance masterclass by Funkadelik Dance Studio, inauguration of Rocanrola’s photographic exhibition, screening of the documentary ‘La cuarta barra’, with unpublished images, curiosities about the creation process and debate with its producers Thais Peñalver and Santi García, and finally a meeting of the public with the artists.
The Rocanrola festival continues its upward trajectory and has surpassed all the expectations of the previous edition, as it is on the verge of being sold out and the organisers are finalising all the details to put together what will be an experience that will remain in the memories of hip hop and urban culture lovers.
