Paloma Wool SS25: when serenity becomes clothes

Paloma Lanna, founder of her eponymous brand, is already a regular on the Parisian calendar. This season, once again, the designer was surrounded by friends, including Toccororo, Miranda Makaroff, Mica Argarañaz and Tokischa, who were eager to see what she had in store for her new Spring/Summer 2025 collection.

And this one did not lack even a hint of the codes that have been defining the brand. Emilie Kareh put the styling of the proposal, which more than a simple parade became a performance by the artist Carlota Guerrero. The artist, who is also a friend of Paloma, placed the five models in the center of the room on a raised podium, which they slowly climbed towards microphones hanging from the ceiling.

Transforming the space into an immersive stage, the garments came to life through the subtle movements of the wearers. Each brush of fabric generates a barely perceptible sound, picked up by hanging microphones that amplify the live sound experience, filling the environment with an almost ethereal atmosphere. The models, in turn, interact with cameras that capture close-ups, projected on screens throughout the venue. This interaction creates an immersive fusion between ASMR and the world of the webcam girls, a crossroads between the intimate and the meditative that redefines the catwalk as an intensified sensory act.

Far from being a simple fashion show, Paloma Wool’s proposal felt like an invitation to supreme calm, as if the designer was leading us to a serene and meditative space. The collection, which reaffirms the brand’s iconic designs, offers a mix of the usual in her universe with new versatile and playful pieces. Bold colors and snap buttons embellish and transform the garments, while texture and fabric combinations become a focal point. Paloma places special emphasis on “material memory”, celebrating the natural wrinkles of the fabrics and the experimental play with textures that characterize this proposal. Combined with the garments, the collaboration with jeweler Anna Santangelo, who has created an exclusive line of jewelry for the show, is introduced.
