A limited edition collection based on the idea of garments intended to be immersed in an elemental setting.
Lucie and Luke Meier, the creative duo – and married couple – at the helm of Jil Sander, have managed to maintain the fashion house’s pared-down modernism while respecting its softness and elegance throughout. Now, they explore new territory through volume, colour and an emphasis on delicate craftsmanship, teaming up with Moncler to present a series of unique pieces.
Wide, layered silhouettes, collarless jackets and coats, flowing dresses and extensive use of double-sided construction represent the fusion of Jil Sander‘s language with Moncler‘s vocabulary. With different styles for men and women, coats conceal detachable quilted linings, while wide mohair cardigans are quilted like duvets and just as protective. A range of outerwear is presented in soft-touch cotton. Knitwear is present in all textures, in the form of furry dresses and capes, while skirts and dresses with 3D quilted bows suggest sophistication for the outdoor evening.
