The Hotel Borneta arrives in Barcelona and conquers El Born

This is the second opening of Miiro, the hotel group specialising in lifestyle, where contemporary aesthetics and local charm are perfectly combined.

Located in the heart of El Born, Hotel Borneta has a unique design imagined in collaboration with James Thurstan Waterworth, who brought his transformative vision to each and every corner of the building as if it were a blank canvas. He used a select group of local artists and contemporary décor to create a magical space in Barcelona‘s most vibrant neighbourhood.

Last Thursday 24th November, we had the pleasure of attending the exclusive opening event, as well as staying in their rooms and enjoying all the services included in the hotel. A total of 92 rooms and suites, each one different from the others, with meticulously cared details and Spanish furniture and antiques that create a unique atmosphere and are divided into different options: The Classic, The Superior, The Signature, The Corner and The Terrace. In addition, after dinner, Julieta delighted us with an intimate concert and put the finishing touch to the evening.

The gastronomic offer is elevated with Volta, the open kitchen restaurant inside the Hotel Borneta, whose exquisite menu has been designed by chef Andrea de Benedictis with the aim of proposing a voyage of discovery along the Mediterranean coast, specifically through the flavours of Spain, Italy, France and North Africa. The space is completed with a cocktail bar and a large terrace covered by the arches of Porxos de Fontseré.

There is also a 180º rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool and unique views of the rooftops of El Born and Parc de la Ciutadella; a comfortable lounge where you can find peace and quiet under the name The Gallery; The Library, a kind of library where you can find novels inspired by the neighbourhood where the hotel is located; a Refresh Room to enjoy before check-in and after check-out; and the Fitness Centre for all those who do not want to lose their sport routine during their holidays.
