All about the first BIYEYEMETE collection

The brand was born as the personal manifesto of the designer Brandon. A window into his vision of the world and his introspective journey.

BIYEYEMETE embodies its constant search for identity, where clothing is not just an outfit, but a means to explore and express the deepest essence of the self. Here, the connection between the person and their clothing transcends fashion, creating a symbiosis that reflects individual authenticity.

The term Madjengma, originally from Equatorial Guinea, means “searching for myself”. This concept encapsulates the inner struggle of the creator, who, after a long period of darkness, decides to reconnect with his innermost self. Inspired by the need to harmonize his inner chaos with his outer appearance, he resorts to face painting as a ritual of transformation, challenging the nonconformity reflected in his face.

In this way, the project aims to break the mold and become a beacon of inspiration for new generations. Here, clothing is seen as a living canvas, a space where emotions and creativity flow without restrictions. The design unfolds with an aesthetic marked by boundless imagination, technical prowess and a boldness that defies convention. The collection, with a strong nod to punk aesthetics, celebrates the breaking of barriers and claims total freedom of expression. From the designer’s point of view, street art – especially painting and graffiti – becomes a symbol of power and resistance.

Brandon, the soul behind BIYEYEMETE, is a young Spanish designer with Guinean roots. After training in design and fashion, where he perfected techniques of pattern making, cutting and handmade tailoring, he decided to follow his own path as self-taught. For him, growth is not a goal, but an infinite process. His vision transcends fashion, embracing art as an act of self-love and a constant exploration of his being. BIYEYEMETE is, in the end, a declaration of love for oneself and for art in all its forms.
