Quevedo ‘s new project marks a milestone in his career and consolidates his place as one of the most influential artists in Spanish-language urban music.
‘BUENAS NOCHES’ is an introspective journey in which the artist captures his vision of the world, his experience with success and his way of handling fame. Through a mix of urban rhythms, honest lyrics and impeccable production, the album shows the singer’s personal and professional evolution.
“This album reflects everything I live in those quiet hours after midnight, when I say goodnight to the world. It’s an album that explains my new way of life and everything that surrounds me. The title doesn’t talk about sleep or rest, but about everything that happens when I say goodbye to others: those thoughts at three in the morning, the deep conversations, the moments of reflection, the nights in the studio, the parties and everything that happens when the night really begins. I’m very happy that, finally, my fans can hear it and I hope they enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it,” explained Quevedo hours before the release of the new album.
The album opens strong with “KASSANDRA”, which defines the essence of the project. One of the highlights of ‘BUENAS NOCHES’ is the impressive list of collaborations, which include Aitana, De La Ghetto, De La Rose, La Pantera, Pitbull, Rels B, Sech, Sin Nombre and Yung Beef, among others. “MR MOONDIAL” (featuring Pitbull) is a tribute to the disco hits of the 2000s, ‘GRAN VIA’ (featuring Aitana) is an electronic pop ballad, and ‘HALO’ (featuring La Pantera) is a modern reinterpretation of classic reggaeton. And one of the most surprising collaborations is, without a doubt, the one with El Seko on La 125.
After the success of his first album and his worldwide hit “Quédate”, Quevedo faced high expectations. With this new album, he seems to exceed them, and is shaping up to be one of the most important releases of 2024. Have you already listened to ‘BUENAS NOCHES’ and which song do you prefer?
