YSL Beauty has launched the final chapter of its iconic digital series Libre Flowers & Flames, and it does so with one of the most iconic figures in the fight for human rights and freedom: Bianca Jagger. The supermodel, activist and legend bursts onto the Los Angeles skyline, dressed all in black, firmly holding the bottle of the new Libre Flowers & Flames fragrance. A powerful image that perfectly sums up the message of rebellion and emancipation that the campaign wants to convey.
This latest instalment closes a cycle of four chapters starring women who, like Jagger, embody feminine strength in all its dimensions. Dua Lipa, Hailey Bieber and Precious Lee were already part of this visual storytelling, directed by the talented Tyler Mitchell, who has focused on highlighting the connection between femininity and the flower that defines the fragrance: the lily. Each chapter has been a tribute to the power of women, but Jagger’s closing elevates the series to new heights.
In her own words, Jagger describes the meaning of Libre: ‘The name of the fragrance means freedom, both in English and Spanish. I was born in Nicaragua and since then, the pursuit of freedom has been an existential goal for me. I learned that to be free, my existence had to become an act of rebellion’. A message as powerful as the fragrance itself, which fuses floral notes with the warm sensuality of a rebellious perfume.
From Yves Saint Laurent, Juliette Ferret, General Manager of the brand, expressed her excitement when speaking about this collaboration: ‘We are delighted and honoured to have Bianca Jagger closing our Libre Flowers & Flames series. Her tireless fight for freedom is the perfect reflection of what we want to convey with this project, and her voice gives an even deeper dimension to our campaign’.
Libre Flowers & Flames Eau de Parfum is now available at YSL‘s website, Sephora, and other select retailers such as Ulta and Macy’s.
