In a series of photographs and a conceptual video co-created by the acclaimed photographer and his creative partner, Dovile.
Named This is a Balenciaga campaign by Juergen Teller, the audiovisual piece offers, through a casual conversation between the two, an intimate and casual look at their creative process, exploring creation as a conceptual act charged with inspiration.
The images bring together a cast that fuses sport, music and fashion: Olympic medallist Kim Ye-Ji; athlete and model Romeo Beckham; singer Kim Petras; and models Sua Lee, Khadim Sock and Akolde Meen. The stars pose in selected pieces from Demna‘s personal collection of vintage furniture in iconic settings and neighbourhoods of Paris, paying homage to the city that is synonymous with Balenciaga.
In this context, the maison’s new accessory offerings take centre stage. These include the Hampton Carry All, a spacious, structured box calf leather design with a decorative front flap that evokes the Bel Air spirit; the Rodeo Tote, a minimalist silhouette with a signature twist-lock closure; and the Hourglass Pochette, a compact version of the iconic Hourglass bag. The collection also includes the Rodeo Top Handle, crafted in matte calfskin with versatile closures for multiple styles; Le City and the sleek Bel Air Bag.
The still lifes highlight the key details of the collection: Balenciaga shoes, eyewear, jewellery and bags. The new Monday trainer, Bel Air sandal, Nano choker and Nano sunglasses join other classics such as the Basketball trainer. As for bags, pieces such as the Holdall Bowling, the Hourglass Pochette, the Rodeo Top Handle, the Le City and the Rodeo Tote complete an offer that fuses timeless design with contemporary functionality.
