Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Shujun Wei, the short film entitled The Encounter transports viewers to the whimsical world of Yi Lau Yi, a Cantonese teahouse in Beijing, where brand ambassadors Liu Haocun and Zhao Jinmai star in a dreamlike narrative that pays homage to the Year of the Snake.
In a setting that blends tradition with fantasy, the two actors are invited to an evening with a three-piece band that enigmatically disappears, leaving the couple wandering through a surreal landscape full of symbolism and beauty. The story encapsulates the spirit of the Lunar New Year, while showcasing Miu Miu’s new LNY collection, filled with pieces that celebrate individuality and sophistication.
The new Lunar New Year line features oversized jumpers, sleek preppy-inspired tweeds and denim adorned with delicate jewel encrustations. The brand’s iconic shoes, such as Miu Miu ballerinas, kitten heels and New Balance trainers, are paired with luxurious accessories: opera gloves and pearl chains. In addition, new versions of the iconic Penny, Wander and Arcadie bags are highlighted and fused with logo sweatshirts, T-shirts and cotton lingerie.
