LOEWE SS25: a visual ode to nature and human connection

Crinoline dresses suspended in the mist, floating ethereally above a forest; bodies that merge with the landscape in an almost mystical dance with nature. This is LOEWE’s Spring-Summer 2025 campaign, captured by renowned photographer David Sims, who delves into the organic relationship between the human body and the natural environment, between gesture and landscape.

Shot in the countryside of Tavertet, in Collsacabra, Catalonia, a place charged with emotion and wild nature, the campaign employs vibrant colours that evoke classical painting, highlighting LOEWE’s connection to its homeland and its almost ancestral relationship with the natural world. In his tenth year at the helm of the brand, Jonathan Anderson returns to LOEWE’s geographical roots, immersing himself in the visual tradition that links the brand to the forces of nature, something that dates back to the earliest days of its leadership.

The desire to capture nature in its purest and most elemental form is the very essence of LOEWE. This philosophy is reflected in the collection’s aesthetic, with a palette of earthy colours, tactile materials and finishes that convey the tangible presence of the earth. Ethereal floral prints, soft feathers, natural-toned leathers and draped garments are an extension of this deep connection to nature.

In the campaign images, it all comes to life in the heart of the Spanish countryside. Drew Starkey, Taylor Russell and LOEWE global ambassador Wang Yibo intertwine with the natural elements in a visual dialogue charged with texture, atmosphere and palpable energy. Russell, barefoot, leans her body against a tree, the grain of the leather of her coat as visible as the bark itself. Starkey sits among the leaf litter, her metallic top reflecting the coldness of her surroundings in contrast to the warmth of the forest. Wang Yibo moves fluidly, the drape of his trousers accompanying his gestures, while the structured tailoring on his figure stands out in contrast to the organic surroundings.

Iconic bags such as the Madrid, the Featherlight Puzzle, the Flamenco Purse, the Squeeze and the floral sequined Toy shoes are presented in an unusual way, suspended in trees or resting on the ground, as if they were part of a naturalistic installation, a performance between fashion and landscape.

With its authentic and visceral approach, this campaign takes fashion away from the urban asphalt and places it in the earthly realm, sending a message of unity and ecological awareness: humanity, like nature, is one piece of an interconnected whole.
