The adorable trend is updated through the codes of the three stripes and the unique vision of the creative director.
It looks like adidas Originals will continue to be at the top of the collaboration game this year. The sporting giant has just announced one of the most special meetings of the moment with artist Taqwa Bint Ali, whose imagery has taken the international scene by storm.
After being part of the Always Original collective in 2022, the designer has teamed up with adidas once again to surprise with her first footwear proposal. And twice! A challenge to the status quo and a fusion of two apparently opposite worlds that, in her hands, become pure aesthetic magic.
Thus the Adistar Pose and the Megaride Mary-Jane were born, both inspired by the discipline of ballet but reinterpreted using the rawest and most contemporary streetwear codes – and covered entirely in shiny silver. The first model incorporates a new system where the tongue has been replaced by a set of extended laces that can be tied around the ankle. The second model, meanwhile, features a single hook-and-loop closure, offering a striking new style.
Both limited edition options will arrive on adidas.com and the CONFIRMED app on 22 January.
