The ruin and the sensuality of the Mediterranean invade Magliano FW25

Imagine a place where time dissolves between the industrial haze and the oppressive heat of the Mediterranean night, a liquid space where the darkest, sweatiest techno sets the pulse. It is there, in that limbo between what is and what could be, where the invitation is born: a romantic excess, but gratuitous, like a wild gesture offered without purpose, simply for the need to exist.

Sea, night, winter: three elements that merge into a symphony of sensations. It is not just a stage, but a state. It is the place where bodies seek a violent minute, capable of redrawing the course of everything. Fashion, then, is not limited to clothing, but becomes a radical statement of being in the midst of nothingness. Here, garments are inverted, turned outwards in a rebellion against logic. Underwear is no longer hidden, but emerges to the surface, in a protest against normativity.

Jackets become symbols of a deconstructed simplicity: ribbed cotton, brutal minimalism. The mohair trousers, transparent and rough, almost as if they were an echo of bare skin. The quilted crepe-de-chine coats seem to have been designed for an endless night, crying out to be touched, wanting the body to reveal itself.

And in this chaos of textures, one thing stands out: a bag that, at first glance, might seem like just another piece, but is actually a statement in itself. A bag that wears underwear. The collaboration with Medea, that feminine brand that redefines the conversation about the Mediterranean, presents us with an ingenious and provocative piece, capable of representing this place, this instant. The same garment that could be hidden is now exposed with brutal clarity. Fashion, then, is not only an object of beauty, but a political act.

Sensuality is the only constant in a world that throws off the rules. The organic is not consolation here, but raw desire. What should be soft becomes rough, and what has been lost in time is rediscovered, like a relic. The neckline, like an open wound, is cut straight to the neck, a violent interruption of the fabric, a merciless incision. The garment becomes an extension of the body, an almost surgical element that connects the physical with the intangible.

This is the context in which Nudo By Magliano was born, a new label that reinterprets the basics with a resolute attitude towards restrained excess. Nudo is a luxurious refuge within chaos, a piece of resistance to the disintegration of order. Fleece and cotton intertwine with classic materials, creating garments that not only serve to protect the body, but free it, allow it to breathe. These pieces become ideal companions for nocturnal wanderings, those aimless strolls that are so typical of modernity.

But, in this controlled chaos, there is also room for adornment. T-shirts are knotted around jackets, as if they were impulsive gestures seeking to find meaning in fragmentation. The remains, the leftovers, become relics. And in a post-apocalyptic world, what are pieces of clothing if not vestiges of lost civilisations? The prints evoke ruins and endless nights, of mythical clubs where time stands still and memory fades. The jewellery, forgotten by the passage of time, is now in a state of abandonment: sweaty chains or bracelets covered in sand.

It is here that brilliance becomes something distant, something worn out by the passage of time. The shine is neither fresh nor artificial; it is dust, it is memory. The knitted fabrics, decorated with Swarovski crystals, seem to catch the moonlight, projecting sparkles that fade into the darkness, like reflections of an uncertain future.

But the music… the music of Aase Nielsen seals the cycle of this ritual. A sound that scrapes the skin, that rises and falls in a storm of mixed emotions, a transition between calm and brutality. Each note is a wave, each chord a vibration that stretches to the horizon, blurring the boundaries between inside and outside, the visible and the invisible. It is music that traces an endless line, that transforms space and time into an incessant movement, a dance that never ends.

This is today’s Mediterranean: a space of ruins, of excess, of sensuality and endless search. Fashion, music and culture intertwine in a perpetual cycle, where nostalgia and the future meet, where the organic decomposes and the new emerges from the ashes of the lost. And, in the midst of all this, we let ourselves go, seeking not perfection, but the radical instant, the moment that changes everything.
