Kim Jones says goodbye to Dior

The acclaimed designer, who took the creative reins of the Maison‘s men’s line in 2018, has just announced his departure.

The rumours were true… The feeling of nostalgia and farewell was palpable in the atmosphere of the last Dior Men fashion show, where almost all of us could deduce that we were seeing the farewell of one of the great designers who have passed through the Maison. And today we have woken up to the sad news that confirms it.

After seven years of work that predefined the concept of men’s fashion, Kim Jones brings to an end a chapter that marked a before and after in the history of Dior Homme. His undeniable ability to fuse the House’s tradition with his contemporary vision has led him to become one of the industry’s most lauded creatives, pushing forward not only men’s fashion but also giving Dior a new identity.

During his tenure, the collections became an explosive mix of classic elegance and avant-garde spirit, with each garment reflecting an interesting and thoughtful dialogue between the past and the future. His influence transcended fashion, establishing collaborations with artists and contemporary figures that added to the creative aura with names such as Daniel Arsham, KAWS, Lewis Hamilton and Nike.
