From 7 to 9 August, Viana do Castelo will once again become the epicentre of the most advanced and experimental electronic music under the concept ‘Interplanetary Dance Music’.
For its 18th edition, the Portuguese festival will feature Charlotte de Wire, the undisputed queen of contemporary techno who has managed to conquer the world’s most iconic clubs if not the entire global scene thanks to her ability to transform any dancefloor into an immersive experience. And if that wasn’t enough, Nina Kraviz will make her long-awaited return with a set that promises a psychedelic fusion of techno, acid and electro, with the aim of trapping you in her universe of sound textures.
Another big name on the bill is breakdance and jungle pioneer Goldie, who will explore new sonic horizons. Joining him will be Ben Klock, the German known for his mastery in the booth and his power to generate an unparalleled sonic experience.
Joseph Capriati and Freddy K will fuse their styles in a unique proposal; while the duo Lewis Fautzi b2b The Advent promises a set full of energy, with intense rhythms and hypnotic grooves.
This year will also be distinguished by live acts that promise to break all the moulds. Colin Benders, Lady Starlight and Sterac will perform a live show with analogue modulars and classic drum machines; and Portugal’s Salbany will immerse you in a sonic journey that fuses Detroit techno with minimalist and innovative textures.
Finally, there are less commercial but equally attractive names such as Aurora Halal, MARRØN, Lake Haze and ZenGxrl.
