How we lived the first anniversary of the CUPRA City Garage Madrid

Since its opening in February 2024, the CUPRA City Garage Madrid has not only become one of the city’s cultural hotspots, but has created its own community, defined its own style and positioned itself as a global icon of what a Garage can be. This Friday, the space celebrated its first anniversary by bringing together personalities from film, music and fashion, including Macarena García, Ana Rujas, Ona Mafalda, Georgina Amorós, Juana Acosta, Lola Rodríguez and more. An event that not only celebrated a year of culture and innovation, but also reaffirmed the essence of this space: a meeting point for those who question convention.

The night was marked by the music, which was the main protagonist. Judeline, one of the most exciting up-and-comers on the current music scene, rocked the Garage with a performance that fused R&B, pop and Andalusian roots. There is no doubt that this young artist has earned her place on the international music scene. Meanwhile, Lourdes León – Madonna’s daughter and known artistically as Lolahol – offered a dj set that showed off an eclectic style, combining electronica and alternative pop with an avant-garde touch that reaffirmed her status as a muse of the New York scene. When it was the turn of Raya Diplomática, Javier Calvo’s band, their contemporary indie-pop and energetic set were the finishing touch to the first part of the night, lifting the audience with nostalgia and freshness.

But the party continued. Alcalá Norte, one of Madrid’s most promising bands, took to the stage and unleashed their full force, demonstrating why they are set to be one of the most outstanding proposals in national rock. To their rhythm, the dj sets by Andrea Vandall and Marco Llorente were a shot of adrenaline for the attendees, taking the Garage energy to an even higher level.

In addition to the music, the event was packed with unique and surprising experiences. Madame Mila, with her tarot page, predicted the future of the Garage, while Javier Atienza captured the most iconic moments of the evening with his innovative 2D hand scanner. In one of the most exclusive areas, attendees were able to personalise their T-shirts in a graffiti activity, where Soen Bravo’s designs were the main protagonists. The atmosphere was transformed by Milo Hammid’s visuals, which surrounded the space with a unique energy, fusing art and technology in a visually electrifying environment.

To toast to all that has been experienced, the Garage offered its exclusive drink The Taste of CUPRA, created in collaboration with Vichy Catalan, a toast to the first anniversary of a place that promises to continue to be a benchmark of culture and style in Madrid.
