February 2025: These are the 6 emerging brands of the month

This is, without a doubt, one of our favorite months for this section. Why? Because between Fashion Weeks happening all over the world, EGO 2025 at MBFWM giving focus to new talents and Central Saint Martins graduates bringing out their final collections, we keep discovering names with something interesting to say in the industry. And since we at HIGHXTAR don’t want them to stay just in our Instagram saves, here are the first six discoveries of this golden month for fashion – February 2025’s emerging designers you need to know about!

1. Petra Fagerstrom

She may be a newcomer to London, but Petra Fagerström has become a key name in contemporary experimental and conceptual fashion. A Swedish designer and ITS 2022 finalist, she has worked with Acne Studios, Balenciaga and Byredo. Her Recollection//404 collection, presented this CSM MA edition, explored the distortion of memory through glitches and disruptive pleating. Her approach is very reminiscent of the experimentation of Margiela, Galliano, McQueen….. Winner of the Mercedes Benz Sustainability Prize in Hyères, she combines technical innovation with reflection on digital identity. Keep an eye on her because she is destined to do great things in the industry.

2. Lucas Moretti

Lucas Moretti was also one of those who shone at this edition of CSM MA FASHION. His collection, which fused radical literature, cinema and London vibe, was a true ode to the wild and nonconformist woman of modern society. With black as the protagonist, she played with textures such as macramé and wool to create fur-effect coats with maximum volume, while tailoring marked the transition from woman to beast.

3. Kelechi Mpamaugo

Kelechi Mpamaugo, former art director at Adidas and Ford, debuted at LFW with Home and World, a collection that fuses her Nigerian heritage and African-American culture. Between gels and bombers with agbada cuts, the designer reinterprets tradition through a contemporary prism. A tribute to her identity framed in today’s times.

4. William Palmer

Surely, William Palmer’s proposal at the recent WSC graduate show was one of the strongest of the season. In fact, the designer was awarded this year’s L’Oréal Pro Creative award. And it is that his collection has already shown that the designer already had a lot of experience before getting his niche at Central Saint Martins. He was hired by Dover Street Market to produce collections for Gosha Rubchinskiy and later oversaw product development for brands under the Dover Street Market Paris umbrella, such as Vaquera, Olly Shinder and ERL. If you didn’t know him… you’re already late!

5. Pat Equilux

Pat Equilux, founded by Patricia Fernández Iñesta in Elda, is one of those Spanish fashion brands that perfectly understands the new generations of consumers. Raised in a shoemaking family, the designer has a very modern creative vision and the bad girls of Spain like Alana, Belen Aguilera or Alba La Física already wear her designs. Undoubtedly one of the designers you should know if you want a femme fatal look.

6. Odis

ODIS, Ido Segev’s brand, presented “Layers” at the recent EGO runway at MBFWM, a collection that explores mental struggles through a gothic and urban aesthetic. Dramatic silhouettes, overlapping layers and contrasting textures symbolize the duality between vulnerability and strength. Each piece tells stories of resilience and self-expression, fusing art and fashion. A manifesto of beauty in the dark that already has followers such as Natos, RVFV, Omar Montes, etc.
