Tokyo Design Collective, that understated but impactful creative force, continues to set the pulse of fashion with its strategic collaborations. Following its work with brands such as Vans, The North Face and Timberland, the Japanese collective is teaming up with the boot brand once again for the fourth joint release, which will arrive in full force for the Spring/Summer 2025 season.
In this new collection, Tokyo Design Collective and Timberland fuse utilitarian with style, presenting a minimalist capsule focused on workwear functionality. Unfortunately, the launch will be exclusive to Japan, leaving many wanting to enjoy it globally.
The collection plays with the reinterpretation of classic utilitarian tropes, where practicality is placed at the forefront. A checked ensemble stands out for its modular design: a short-sleeved button-down shirt and matching shorts. The shirt’s structure, inspired by the silhouette of a work jacket, is equipped with an adjustable drawstring at the bottom, allowing the fit to be customised.
Among the standout pieces, a trench coat in a neutral blue tone stands out for its orange details on the collar and its large pockets, which run along the entire front of the garment. The design of this jacket is crafted from a three-layer water-repellent material, giving it a refined aesthetic without sacrificing functionality. The button fastening in the centre completes this character-defining piece of the collection.
The collection is now available at Timberland Japan, and those nearby should not miss the opportunity to explore an offering that promises to continue to set the standard.
