The art of sculpture as the main aspiration for ATLEIN

A proposal that defies convention and redefines the representation of the female figure.

Antonin, ATLEIN‘s creative director, has found in the prehistoric Venus statuettes a primordial inspiration, motivating not only the study of their form, but the true meaning of what these sculptures represent: body, power, eroticism and a strong connection with fertility.

But his research does not stop here. He traverses the modernity of Constantin Brancusi, a pioneer of abstract sculpture, whose streamlined and stylised figures, balancing abstraction and representation, have been a key influence on his own practice. Brancusi‘s curves are echoed in the designer’s work, where clothing, more than just a garment, becomes sculpture. This is achieved through fabrics that embrace the lines of the body and offer a play of curved volumes.

The sharp silhouette, marked by structured shoulders and defined lines, marks a clear contrast to the fluidity of ATLEIN‘s previous collections, while maintaining its distinctive spirit. When it comes to colours, Antonin sticks to his minimalist vision, using a fairly precise tonal range encompassing blacks, greys, browns and khakis.
