Demna, currently Creative Director of Balenciaga, will be the new Artistic Director of Gucci from July 2025. A signing that will not only reshape the future of the House, but also reinforce the designer’s authority in the luxury industry.

With a consolidated legacy at the French Maison since 2015, Demna has been one of the great precursors of the most radical and successful transformations of the sector in the last decade. His disruptive approach and his ability to exquisitely blend the avant-garde with the conceptual have led him to achieve worldwide recognition.

François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and CEO of Kering, stresses that the Georgian’s contribution to the group has been fundamental and that his creativity is what Gucci needs to take a turn towards the future and a considerable step forward.

‘I am truly excited to join the Gucci family. It is an honour to contribute to a House that I deeply respect and have admired for a long time. I look forward to writing with Stefano and the entire team a new chapter in Gucci’s incredible history,’ Demna himself says in the official statement.
