GUESS USA’s American Dream has always been more Johnny Cash than country club, and for SS25, the brand continues to tear through its archive to reinterpret its legacy with a more raw and experimental attitude. Nicolai Marciano signs a collection that looks like it was taken from a road trip through deep America: aged fabrics, muddy dyes and flag patchwork that speak of times when clothes were not only worn, but lived in.
Denim is the starting point and the obsession of this collection. Micro-miniskirts with crackle effect, vests worn with surgical precision and jeans that look like they survived a 70s festival define the season. Star-embossed metal belts and a studded Claudia bag reinforce the vintage flea market vibe, while triple-washed lace tops and faux fur coats take the collection into grunge-glam territory.
Eli Russell Linnetz, through his eye, captures this rawness with a campaign that revives the energy of the iconic GUESS ads, where fashion feels less like an accessory and more like a lifestyle.
