In a partnership that celebrates summer nostalgia and contemporary artisanal design, Havaianas—the Brazilian brand responsible for turning the flip-flop into a cultural icon—presents an exclusive collaboration with Barcelona-based Gimaguas. Thus, “Summer Treasures” is born, a limited edition launched as a select seeding project for a very small circle of insiders.
The capsule is structured as an exercise in archival archaeology and playful sophistication. A dialogue between Havaianas’ most iconic silhouettes and Gimaguas’ unique aesthetic, marked by its metallic finishes and free approach to dressing. The result is a collection that exudes a summer spirit, tactile texture, and a relaxed, almost accidental elegance.
The “Sunny” style—rescued from Havaianas’ historical archive—is reinterpreted with a double set of flat metal studs, in a direct interpretation of Gimaguas’ visual language. This launch will be accompanied by a second key piece: a never-before-seen version of the classic “Brasil Logo,” whose redesign will add an unexpected dimension to the universal icon.
Only 150 numbered pairs of this collection will be produced, delivered in exclusive packaging created especially for the occasion. Distribution will be limited to carefully selected profiles from the international creative scene: celebrities, editors, artists, and key figures in the fashion and music worlds.
The activation route will begin in Los Angeles, coinciding with the Coachella festival, where a temporary pop-up will serve as a showcase and drop-off point for the “Sunny” style. London and Paris will complete the tour, culminating in an event during Paris Fashion Week where the reinterpretation of the “Brasil Logo” will be revealed for the first time.
The official launch of “Summer Treasures” will take place on April 15th, through a digital campaign filled with fresh and irreverent aesthetic references, starring Paula Blumme and aimed at the new luxury: that which is lived more than owned.
