The acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning artist has been chosen by the Maison as an ambassador.

This morning we woke up to a special portrait of Kendrick captured by Karim Sadli, which confirmed the news. This is not surprising considering the close relationship between the rapper and the French Maison that has existed for years, specifically since 2023, when he decided to wear a design signed by Virgine Viard during the MET Gala.
The campaign, which launches tomorrow, unites the Compton man with other iconic figures from the Chanel universe, consolidating a story that draws on both legacy and disruption. Although it’s not a brand that explores men’s fashion in depth, its radar for spotting relevant figures has always been active: Timothée Chalamet, Pharrell, G-Dragon… And now Kendrick.
‘Chanel has a timeless legacy and that’s something I always like. Since they don’t make menswear, I knew it had to be eyewear,’ says the star.
