‘Mon Monogram’: Personalising the art of travel

Louis Vuitton continues to evolve its personalisation service.

What began as a functional necessity to distinguish luggage on early 20th century voyages has now become a status symbol, an intimate way of carrying one’s identity on one’s shoulder. Ever since the famous couturier Paul Poiret stamped his name on the Louis Vuitton travel boot in 1911, personalisation has been an essential part of the House.

As early as the 1920s, LV offered its customers the possibility of creating their own monogram, transforming each piece into a personal canvas. That history, woven through decades and endless journeys, is now materialised in a new phase of the Mon Monogram service: more versatile, more expressive, and more conscious of luxury as a form of individuality.

Under the premise that every journey begins as a blank piece of paper, Mon Monogram offers a customisation system that allows you to intervene from the iconic Keepall and Horizon travel bags, to the Christopher backpacks or the Pochette Toilette Monogram accessories. The proposal is extended with the classic Monogram Canvas and Monogram Eclipse.

Customers will be able to choose from a carefully selected and contemporary colour palette, stripes in different combinations, customised typography and even patches inspired by Art Nouveau and Belle Époque.
