Ludovic de Saint Sernin’s swimwear is back

Ludovic de Saint Sernin returns to Fire Island, New York, with a proposal that goes beyond swimwear. The collection, available now, comes wrapped in a campaign loaded with archive, desire and sunshine, bringing the brand back to its roots.

The campaign was captured by Stuart Winecoff at 231 Bay Walk, a key location for the Saint Sernin universe. It was there that Ludovic shot his first campaign. As well as being home to Gil Neary, an essential figure in the island’s queer culture. As well as hosting thousands of summers, he helped forge the aesthetic and social spirit of the place in its most iconic era.

The brand reinterprets its most iconic pieces, the LdSS signature brief and thong with eyelets, but also introduces a new swim short. All the models in the campaign maintain the brand’s visual fetish, with sweat-soaked bodies on deck.

The relaunch includes a physical point of sale throughout the season at The Visitors Center, managed by the Queer Culture Arts Foundation (QCAF), the exclusive supplier of LdSS swimwear and a meeting place for the queer community.

Ludovic de Saint Sernin returns to the place where it all began with this new swimwear collection, recovering a visual and affective language where the body, summer and queer memory merge into a single scene.
