Daft Punk and PLEASURES present a capsule collection that translates key elements of the French duo’s imaginary into the language of contemporary streetwear. The proposal revisits graphic icons, audiovisual references and sound structures through the garments. The collection combines recognisable graphics with utilitarian cuts.
Daft Punk helmets, as the visual axis of the project, are integrated into T-shirts, jeans and sweatshirts as a central motif. One of the most visible pieces is a full-zip, high-neck sweatshirt that completely covers the face while replicating the silhouette of the original helmets. The jeans also feature split helmet prints on each leg, creating a symmetrical and direct reading of the duo’s robotic imagery.
Highlights include a T-shirt with the words ‘Technologic’ printed in orange font, anchored to a robotic figure on the back. Similarly, the video for ‘Prime Time of Your Life’ is transferred to a long-sleeved half-zip. Even graphic elements from Interstella 5555, the anime-style film that visualised his Discovery album, are printed on various garments.
The rest of the collection includes accessories and collectibles, such as a football with Random Access Memories cover art and caps with shared embroidery. The Daft Punk capsule will be available from 16 July in selected temporary shops and on the official PLEASURES website.
