Maluma continues to diversify his career with the launch of Remanence, his technical clothing brand produced in Colombia. Debuted in October 2024 with a runway show in Medellín, the label targets the athleisure segment with a functional focus and local manufacturing.
The project, co-led by Ana Villegas, deliberately avoids centring on Maluma’s image. Instead, it focuses on the design of technical garments for outdoor activity. The range includes vests, fast-drying T-shirts, antibacterial fabrics, and water-repellent materials. Collections are released every six weeks, with outsourced production in workshops across Antioquia.
Since its launch, the brand has opened a pop-up store at Amsterdam Plaza shopping centre in Medellín, featuring exclusive product drops and specialty Colombian coffee. The temporary store is part of a national tour that includes Bogotá, Cali, Barranquilla, Pereira and Cartagena. Each stop features fitness sessions and wellness activities.

Remanence is currently stocked in 22 retail locations in Colombia, including chains like Malva and Pilatos. The aim is to reach between 40 and 50 points of sale by the end of 2025. In the medium term, plans include opening a flagship store in Medellín and expanding into Mexico and the United States, particularly in markets such as Miami and California. The team is also exploring partnerships with European retailers.
Prices range from $80 to $220. While the brand positions itself at the upper end of the Colombian sportswear market, it targets the accessible premium segment internationally.
Remanence is currently owned by Maluma and Villegas. The brand intentionally avoids relying solely on the artist’s public profile. Maluma plays an active role as creative director, testing prototypes and validating performance features.
The business model is based on short drops, technical fabrics, and traceable local production. Logistics hubs are also in development to support international exports. According to the company, monthly sales are growing at a rate of around 30%.
