The brand presented its latest project, designed by Zellerfeld, during the SS26 opéraSPORT fashion show.
The German laboratory that leads the way in 3D-printed footwear has decided to take the quintessential summer icon, Havaianas, and give it a thoroughly futuristic twist. The result is an attractive hybrid: chunky sandals with an anatomical silhouette, thick soles and… covered toes!
But it’s not all about disruptive design. The brand’s free-spirited, tropical and relaxed vibe remains intact, respecting its original essence as they are designed to be just as easy to walk in. The only thing that has changed is that they are now made without moulds, without waste and on demand.
‘We have redesigned a global icon. This collaboration shows that when tradition meets innovation, the familiar becomes revolutionary: zero waste, no moulds, pure technology, made to order and designed for personal expression,’ says Maria Fernanda Albuquerque, global marketing director at Havaianas.
Available in five different colours, they will be available from September exclusively for print-on-demand on the Zellerfeld website.
