If I Had Legs, I’d Kick You, from A24, which premiered at Sundance, will be released in cinemas on 10 October 2025. A$AP Rocky features in the cast alongside Rose Byrne and Conan O’Brien.
The trailer shows Rocky in a prominent and sustained role, playing a character named “James”. His presence is more than a cameo and forms part of the narrative core.
The official synopsis states that the story follows Linda as she tries to cope with her child’s illness, the absence of her partner, a missing person, and a deteriorating relationship with her therapist.
The film fits within A24’s recent approach of combining dysfunctional stories with a distinctive aesthetic and a cast that crosses disciplines. In this context, Rocky’s appearance serves as an extension of his presence in other visual languages beyond music.
The artist is also confirmed for another A24 project this year: Highest 2 Lowest, a thriller directed by Spike Lee and based on Akira Kurosawa’s High and Low (1963).
