The American actor and rapper Jaden Smith will move to Paris to take up the role of men’s creative director at Christian Louboutin. He will present his first collection in January during Men’s Fashion Week.
Smith will oversee four collections a year, including footwear, leather goods, and accessories. He will also be responsible for campaigns, events, and immersive experiences. His appointment will allow Louboutin to focus on expanding the women’s line and to strengthen the men’s category, which currently accounts for 24% of the business.
The designer met Smith in 2019 and recognised affinities in his creative approach and working style. Smith’s appointment was not the result of a formal search but arose naturally from their professional relationship and shared approach to creativity.
Smith has experience in fashion and footwear collaborations, including his work with New Balance and his brand MSFTSrep, founded with his sister Willow and friends in 2012. He is currently preparing a new version of the brand, MSFTSRep Infinity, which will coexist alongside his role at Louboutin.
Louboutin’s men’s line includes both sneakers and leather-soled shoes. The Louis and Chambellis collections are among the bestsellers.
Jaden Smith first release for Christian Louboutin will be an avant-première capsule in January, available at selected boutiques and on the brand’s website. His first full collection for Autumn-Winter 2026 will reach stores in May.
