The news comes after the exit of Stefano Cantino, who had held the role of CEO since October 2024 after joining the company in May of the same year. Now, Francesca Bellettini takes over the presidency and executive management of Gucci.
The handover confirms the strategy of Luca de Meo, Kering’s new CEO since last week, who is seeking a rapid and more clearly defined reorganisation within the group. Gucci, a key part of the conglomerate, is the first to move.
Cantino leaves the company expressing gratitude for the opportunity and highlighting his contribution during a transitional stage. Bellettini, for her part, takes on the role with a discourse centred on leadership, execution, and repositioning of the brand.
The move also entails the elimination of the position of Executive Vice President at Kering, while Jean-Marc Duplaix remains as Chief Operating Officer of the group.
Gucci thus enters a new cycle, marked by Kering’s accelerated restructuring and the concentration of power in profiles deemed key.
