Skepta returned to London Fashion Week with the third instalment of his brand MAINS. The collection, titled “EuroTrash”, draws inspiration from the 1990s and the British subcultures of that decade.
This show space recreated the atmosphere of London’s underground clubs with dirty bins and party flyers scattered across the runway. The name pays tribute to the 1993 TV programme presented by Jean Paul Gaultier and Antoine de Caunes, a reference point in the rapper’s teenage years.
Creative director Mikey Pearce reinforced the concept with garments that balance classic elements and irony. The line included double-collared shirts, corsets and strapped stockings, alongside MAINS-branded cigarettes reimagined as accessories. Leather jackets featuring Ribena’s visual identity were also presented, together with gradient “OOPS!” T-shirts and scribbled shopping-list tops.
With this proposal, Skepta confirms MAINS intention to continue establishing a strong presence on the London calendar.
