The first edition of MiniShop Open Tennis took place yesterday at The Bubble Club in Sant Antoni. The courts were transformed into a stage where fashion, music and creativity met sport.
Organised by the Madrid-based multi-brand store MiniShop, the tournament brought together 24 teams. Participants included Nico Almagro, Feliciano López, Arturo Valls, actor Ricardo Gómez, singer Roisin Murphy and model Juan Betancourt. Local representatives also took part, such as the hotels Concept Group, Los Enamorados, El Silencio and Mari Mayans.
The team led by architect and influencer José Pastrana, OUT, claimed victory after a closely fought final. Their opponents were the Ibizan team Concept Group, made up of the Calvo brothers and Nico Almagro, former world number 8, who finished in second place.
The day combined competitive rounds with an audience interested in fashion and culture. It was supported by adidas Originals, who organised an event at Hotel Romeos inspired by classic tennis and reinterpreted through current vanguard trends in fashion, art, music and urban style. Maison Perrier was the official water, while Estrella Damm, VICIO, La Marzocco and Wilson, together with the Sant Antoni de Portmany Town Hall, helped establish the tournament as a reference point in Ibiza.
MiniShop Open Tennis Ibiza is a celebration of the island’s culture, a meeting point between sport, creativity and style. Artists, actors, athletes and entrepreneurs shared space beyond the rules of the game.
