The designer’s first show marked a new era for the house. Dior SS26 collection dialogues between history and Jonathan Anderson’s contemporary vision. The iconic Bar jacket is shrunk and paired with pleated miniskirts, creating a new “New Look” for today.
The collection not only reinterpreted the house’s iconic archives, but also marked the beginning of an ambitious era under the first sole Creative Director since Monsieur Dior himself. The show opened with a short film that symbolically “uncovered” Dior’s legacy, preparing the audience for the collection.
At the same time, theatricality remains present. Lamp-style draping, oversized bows, and silhouettes inspired by 18th-century saddlebags. Each piece strikes a balance between spectacle and wearable luxury.
The show also includes more accessible pieces: denim miniskirts, graphic lace sets, and accessories ranging from sculpted bags to logo heels.
A debut celebrated with a standing ovation. Jonathan Anderson decodes and recodes Dior with his SS26 collection, keeping the house’s history alive while paving the way for the future.
