“A Medio Vivir,” one of Ricky Martin’s biggest hits, is reborn in a captivating version performed by global icon and one of the greatest exponents of Mexican music, Carín León. The single, accompanied by its music video, is now available on all digital platforms under the Sony Music Latin label here.
Without losing the essence that made “A Medio Vivir” one of the most iconic songs in Latin music, this new version offers a fresh and contemporary twist, under the impeccable production of Casta and Andrés Saavedra. Ricky and Carín convey with profound emotion the powerful lyrics composed by Venezuelan singer-songwriter Franco De Vita, inspired by the heartbreak and loneliness left by the loss of a great love.
The accompanying video, directed by Carlos Pérez, creative director of Elastic People, recreates the atmosphere of an art film. With a visual approach filled with intricate metaphors and concepts, the piece highlights the emotional performance of both artists, evoking beauty and poetry to reflect separation and hope.
This premiere marks the beginning of a new musical project from the multiple GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® winner, who is also preparing to continue his successful international Ricky Martin Live tour. The tour will resume with two completely sold-out shows at the Claro Arena in Chile on October 4 and 5, and will continue to cities in Australia, Europe, and Mexico, plus a date in California and another in the United Arab Emirates.
