Amelia Gray is making her debut as a designer, but in reality, the collaboration she has just launched with FRAME only confirms what we already knew: the model has been setting trends for years without saying a word. Her off-duty style—relaxed denim, oversized layers, minimal tops, and an “it’s not planned, but it works” attitude—is now officially becoming a collection.
What FRAME has always built between Paris and Los Angeles, Amelia brings down to earth. The capsule mixes exaggerated proportions with shrunken ones, low-rise denim, luxurious fabrics that don’t make noise, bomber jackets that look like hand-me-downs, and faux fur coats that have that 2000s vibe without falling into cheap nostalgia. These are pieces that fit into any routine, from a work-from-home call to an impromptu night out.
Denim is at the heart of this collaboration: relaxed, slouchy, baggy fits, silhouettes that don’t try to shape the body but rather accompany it. There are three cuts that lead the collection. The Gray, designed to lengthen and slim effortlessly; The Detour, oversized, low-rise, with the energy of a garment that looks like it was stolen from someone’s closet; and The Jort, knee-length Bermuda shorts, zero complications.
Amelia herself explains it this way: “This collection is very personal to me. I’ve been a fan of FRAME for a long time, so designing with them was the perfect moment to finally create the capsule collection I’ve always wanted. I took care of every detail: the color, the washes, the fit, the fabric. I wanted pieces that would elevate a look without overthinking it; clothes for anywhere, anytime, being yourself.“ And that’s the key: a collection made to work, not to create the golden moment. Vintage leather bomber jackets already ”broken in” at just the right point, slouchy nylon, voluminous faux fur over minimal tanks and almost invisible T-shirts.
Available at FRAME stores, frame-store.com, and global retailers—but beyond where you buy it, here’s what’s important: Amelia Gray has taken her first steps as a designer.
