The artist from Cadiz is back with “Verano Saudade”, an EP where nostalgia becomes a language from which to reconstruct her own identity. True to her essence, she embraces fusion as an act of creative freedom where bossa nova, funk carioca, bachata, afrobeat and the most experimental electronic music come together.
In addition to exploring genres, this studio work brings together interesting international voices that expand the narrative, each with their own life and stories. This is the case with “Tiempo pasa” featuring Dellafuente, “Tu et Moi” featuring MC Morena, “Com Você” featuring Amaia, “Mi breve juventud” featuring Pa Salieu, and “Piki” produced in collaboration with Sega Bodega.
These alliances chart uncharted territory where Judeline reaffirms her global identity, with lyrics in Spanish, Portuguese, French and English. “Verano Saudade” does not seek to recapture an idealised past, but rather to understand nostalgia as an impulse towards discovering what is yet to come.
