From the runway to the workshop.
For Autumn/Winter 2026, JW Anderson shifts the focus away from the runway and towards the process. The collection is conceived as a personal gallery that reflects Jonathan Anderson’s universe and the people who form part of his creative circle. The emphasis is no longer on spectacle, but on the act of making and on those who make it possible.
FW26 goes beyond ready-to-wear. Fashion, furniture and everyday objects come together naturally, forming a proposal in which each piece matters as much for its design as for the story behind it. Within this framework, traditional techniques are revisited with a contemporary outlook. Crochet gains weight and texture, while draping creates new shapes and volumes. At the same time, the brand’s classics return, including gender-fluid bombers, playful knitwear and knotted dresses.
The collection incorporates Irish and Scottish knitwear, English silk damask and high-quality Japanese denim. This same philosophy extends into the home through a line of homeware developed with historic craftspeople. Highlights include oak objects by Mouseman Craftsmen and the Bronze Peach paperweights, created in collaboration with Luca Guadagnino.
Along these lines, the lookbook features collaborators, artists and people close to Jonathan Anderson’s universe alongside the pieces themselves. This gesture reinforces a sense of community and brings the creative process to the forefront. As such, Jonathan Anderson FW26 does not aim to impose immediate trends, but rather to underline the cultural value of making and the human stories that surround each creation.
