Dembow straight from Harlem.

A$AP Rocky surprised his fans with the release of “FLACKITO JODYE”, a track that was added later to the world of his album Don’t Be Dumb, released on January 16. Although the rapper had asked people to stop talking about a deluxe edition, he later hinted on X that there could be a second disc made for his fans. The song features Dominican artist Tokischa and connects directly with the current phase of the project.

For more than a year, the track had circulated online as a leak. The video shoot was seen in Harlem some time ago, with Rocky and Tokischa both present. These leaks affected the release of Don’t Be Dumb, which went through several delays. With its official release, “FLACKITO JODYE” left its leak status behind and became part of the artist’s recent releases.

Musically, the track leans into a dembow sound, with a simple beat, strong bass and a very repetitive chorus. Rocky includes several references to New York in his verse, while Tokischa brings her direct and high-energy style. The collaboration strengthens dembow’s presence on the international scene, a genre that the Dominican artist continues to introduce to new audiences.

The release comes at an important moment for Rocky, as he is competing with Bad Bunny for the number one spot in sales in the United States. Don’t Be Dumb surpassed 35 million streams in its first 24 hours and became the strongest debut of 2026 so far, confirming the album’s positive reception.

A$AP Rocky announces the world tour for “DON’T BE DUMB” this year.
