If anyone thought Madonna would simply sit back and watch TikTok dictate the cultural trends of 2026, they clearly weren’t paying attention. The Queen of Pop has jumped into one of the moment’s viral dances, set to an Ice Spice track inspired by the SpongeBob universe, and she does it alongside her partner, Akeem Morris.
The video, shared on her official TikTok account, shows Madonna and Morris playing with the choreography to the song featured in The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. First, he appears behind her — shirtless — flexing his arms; then they swap positions and Madonna takes centre stage, proving that the “Big Guy” concept also applies to pop icons with decades-long careers.
Their relationship has been closely watched since they began appearing together more frequently in 2024, particularly due to the 38-year age gap between them. Morris, a footballer born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, moved to New York to study at Stony Brook University and played university football before joining Oyster Bay United FC. He currently lives in New York and keeps a low profile on social media.
Although Morris first appeared in Madonna’s creative orbit in 2022 during a Paper Magazine shoot, it wasn’t until after the singer’s split from boxer Josh Popper in spring 2024 that he began to be seen closer to her. They have been considered a couple since at least July of that year, coinciding with her Fourth of July posts.
And while others debate whether this is about age, algorithms or generations, Madonna simply does what she’s always done: show up, understand the code and make it her own without asking for permission. TikTok changes every week, but one thing hasn’t shifted in decades — she remains at the centre of the conversation.
