Yung Beef kicks off 2026 with the release of “EL PLUGGG 3 OVA 2”, the second part of the third instalment of his El Pluggg saga. There are 14 tracks in about 39 minutes that maintain the line he has been working on, a project that his fans have been waiting for for some time and that puts him back in the spotlight.
The tracklist features collaborations with Baby Maikol & Dave Produce, Uzii Gaang, Xiyo & Fernandezz and Main Costa, names that have been growing within the current music scene and that fit in with the focus of the project.
In the same vein, this new instalment maintains the dark and experimental tone that characterises the series, with a clear influence from Japanese anime in terms of concept. The sound moves between trap and reggaeton, with a production that focuses on dense atmospheres and unconventional structures.
“EL PLUGGG 3 OVA 2” follows the line set out in the first part, maintaining a very defined aesthetic and sound. For some, it confirms that Yung Beef remains firm in his territory; for others, it may be a more difficult work to digest.
‘I just wanted to be creative’
In a recent interview on The MOP Talks, C. Tangana reflected on his beginnings in rap and made it clear that he has never liked being pigeonholed as a ‘trapero’. In that context, he made a statement that sparked controversy: he spoke of kids who ‘just wanted to be creative’ and now have their faces tattooed, criticising that stage and the trap aesthetic. He did not mention anyone in particular, but the comment did not go unnoticed.
Days later, Yung Beef published a post promoting his new album with a very clear phrase: ‘I just wanted to be creative.’ Without pointing the finger at anyone, but pointing it at everything. Many have interpreted it as a direct response to Tangana, reigniting their old beef. There are no insults or names, but the hint is one that can be heard even in the back row.
Be that as it may, it is now available on streaming platforms. Now it’s time to listen to it and form your own opinion.
