This is the new Gucci Borsetto.
Designed to feel comfortable, expressive and instantly recognisable, the Borsetto introduces a new silhouette to the Italian fashion house‘s universe and reactivates one of its most iconic codes to project it into the present. Its very name fuses the words borsa (bag) and morsetto (horse bit), playing with language in the same way that the design plays with form. The result is an intuitive, contemporary and, of course, deeply Italian term. It is Gucci‘s constant way of encapsulating its duality, its tradition and its evolution.
If there is one element that articulates this narrative, it is the Horsebit, the iconic equestrian bit that first appeared in the collections of the late 1940s and quickly became one of the House’s most recognisable emblems. Now, that same symbol embraces the future through the past. In the Borsetto, the Horsebit hardware is not merely an ornamental detail, but rather a conceptual anchor connecting Gucci‘s equestrian heritage with a relaxed, contemporary silhouette.
The design is comfortable and distinctive, featuring an elongated handle that stylises the bag’s natural drape and a detachable strap that multiplies its possibilities for use. Whether worn over the shoulder, across the body or on the arm, versatility defines the essential part of its personality. Available in medium and large sizes, the Borsetto responds to everyday needs with elegance. Practical but never basic.
The proposal is presented in a careful selection of refined materials and tones that emphasise its timeless character: dark brown suede, soft black leather and GG Monogram canvas in sand and dark brown tones.
