The collaboration once again pushes the boundaries of contemporary footwear in its second drop.
‘ENSEMBLE 1774’ reaffirms Thibo Denis‘ vision of merging tradition, functionality and modern craftsmanship, bringing BIRKENSTOCK‘s iconic comfort to an urban and experimental context. We are talking about one of the most influential footwear designers of his generation. Born and trained in Paris, he is known for his self-taught approach and his sensitivity in combining tradition, urban culture and functionality in each design. He began his career working with small Parisian brands before making the leap to Dior, where he redefined luxury footwear by reinterpreting classics and fusing sports codes with the heritage of the Maison.
Among his most iconic projects are the Air Dior x Air Jordan 1 collaborations, as well as the development of the B23 and B27 silhouettes, renowned for their ability to connect sneaker culture with contemporary luxury. After six years at Dior, he recently joined the Louis Vuitton team, working hand in hand with Pharrell Williams on the men’s footwear and accessories line, thus consolidating his impeccable reputation.
Now, together with BIRKENSTOCK, he presents the second instalment of ENSEMBLE 1774, revisiting the sculptural forms of the Goerlitz, Uerzell and Stroedt silhouettes with new colours and materials. The collection remains rooted in the idea of ‘scaling the city’: a metaphor for movement, exploration and the freedom to navigate urban landscapes with confidence and curiosity. Thibo translates this concept into tactile and versatile designs, crafted in warm, understated tones that balance urban dynamism with naturalness.
Each model retains the brand’s removable blue anatomical insole, based on orthopaedic tradition, combined with the characteristic ergonomic sole and the 1774 emblem engraved in blue.
The collection is now available in unisex sizes via 1774.com.
